JobDesigner

JobDesigner enables organizations to achieve greater efficiency and patient safety through automating processes and workflows. By eliminating much of the manual interaction involved in completing forms and creating information packets, the people in your hospital are able to focus on patients rather than papers.

Increase patient safety by eliminating embossing and bulky, manually applied labels. With FormFast JobDesigner you are able to print patient demographics directly on forms along with bar coded patient and form identifiers. Thus, with FormFast, forms are ready for scanning and indexing to document archives with accurate and readable patient identification.

Mapping data to forms is simple with JobDesigner, a drag-and-drop environment for not only mapping data, but also interpreting data and applying logic based on the data. With JobDesigner electronic forms become dynamic and intelligent. With the JobDesigner tool, you can manipulate data to get the exact output you need. JobDesigner also lets you assign logic and criteria to data elements, enabling dynamic routing and form selection.

What is a Print Job?

FormFast's FastPrint resides on a networked server in your hospital and listens for certain messages. An example of a message it is listening for is a print command from an Admissions Clerk. That print command sends data to FastPrint. FastPrint receives the data and determines what needs to be printed and initiates a print job.

The print job is a set of forms with data mappings, rules, calculations, and print routes. FormFast's JobDesigner is the tool used to create these print jobs. JobDesigner provides an intuitive interface for mapping data to forms and then developing the rules, calculations, and print routes associated with the print job. An example of a rule is: "If the patient is under 18 years old, print a parental consent form at the Admissions Desk." This rule can involve calculations such as determining the patients age based on the date of birth. A print route can also be determined by the incoming data. For example if a patient is being admitted to a specific department, such as a Cardiac Care Unit, the printing of the clinical forms may be routed to that department. Routes can be as specific as to identify what print tray to get the paper from for a particular form or document. A printer may be set up with wristbands, labels, and plain paper in it's trays, enabling the printing of a collated packet of wristbands, labels, forms, and informational documents.
